A hanging sculpture made of nothing but silk thread - and light: a white sphere seems to be floating in a blue block of vertical threads.
The sphere is a photogram, cyano-printed* into the body of threads. The negative of the sculpture has been exposed to sunlight, and has thus been ‘printed’ by the sun.
*Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces shades of cyan-blue. ‘Blue Moon’ takes this process into the third dimension.
